Business Intern

The purpose of the internship is to get exposure to different areas of the business, ultimately specialising in one area. We are seeking recent graduates in Finance, Business, or IT who are keen to learn and contribute to our business. Areas of Rotation Financial control- budgeting and forecasting, branch actuals and variance analysis reports, discussing variances with budget holders. Internal audit- doing stock, cash, and inventory checks. Finance - Journal Entries processing payments, managing petty cash, debtors reporting, credit control, accruals, prepayments, bank and cash reconciliations Exports – Invoicing, reporting, quality claims, insurance. Operations - Logistics and Procurement. Fleet reporting and analysis. Procurement – shadow Procurement Officer, follow procurement report and update it. Production – Purchasing, Processing, and Quality. Assisting with purchasing, weighing, receipting, keeping records of stocks. Shadowing the factory managers, understanding the processing that both cocoa and vanilla go through and the costs involved from store to export. Assisting the quality team, learning the quality parameters and methods of testing. Desired Competencies Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, IT, or related field Must have advanced skills in Excel including proficiency with the formulas IFERROR and VLOOKUP Critical thinking, curiosity, ability to question Financial acumen including ability to understand financial statements, budgets, and financial reports Excellent written communication Attention to detail Self-motivated and takes initiative Innovation and strategic thinking Budgeting and forecasting Branch actuals and variance analysis reports Discussing variances with budget holders Stock, cash, and inventory checks Journal Entries processing payments Managing petty cash Debtors reporting Credit control Accruals Prepayments Bank and cash reconciliations Invoicing Reporting Quality claims Insurance Logistics Procurement Fleet reporting and analysis Shadow Procurement Officer Follow procurement report and update it Purchasing Processing Quality Assisting with purchasing Weighing Receipting Keeping records of stocks Shadowing the fact
