Apply Uganda legal

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Apply Uganda handles personal information when job seekers, employers, and administrators use the platform.

Last updated: 30 June 2026

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, posting a job, applying for a job, creating a CV, submitting a job alert, or contacting us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, location, employer details, job application details, CV content, and account role.

We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps, and security logs to keep the platform reliable and safe.

How we use information

We use information to operate Apply Uganda, create and secure accounts, show verified jobs, review employer submissions, process job applications, generate CVs, send job alerts, prevent fraud, and improve the service.

Job applications submitted through Apply Uganda may be shared with the employer connected to the job. Admin users may review application records for platform safety and support.

CVs and applications

CVs created in the CV Builder are private to the job seeker unless the job seeker chooses to attach a saved CV to an application. Employers can only view a saved CV when it is connected to an application for one of their jobs.

Do not include sensitive personal information in a CV or application unless it is necessary for the job opportunity.

Job sources and reviewed listings

Apply Uganda may collect job information from trusted public sources and employer submissions. Scraped or imported jobs are intended to enter review before publication.

We may store source URLs, employer names, job descriptions, deadlines, and related metadata to support verification and reduce application-fee scams.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with employers when a job seeker applies, with service providers that help us run the platform, or when required for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or protection of users.

Public job listings may show employer names, logos, locations, and job details provided by employers or collected from trusted sources.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as password hashing, protected routes, role-based access, and server-side validation. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the platform, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain accurate records.

Your choices

You may update account information from the relevant dashboard where available. You may request correction or deletion of personal information, subject to records we need to keep for security, legal, or operational reasons.

You can unsubscribe from job alerts where an unsubscribe option is provided, or contact us for help.
