Overview
Financial Management & Bookkeeping Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with CorpsAfrica policies and Uganda accounting standards. Review payment requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies and donor agreements. Process payments (petty cash, bank transfers, checks) and ensure proper documentation. Record all financial transactions in the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks) with appropriate coding. Reconcile bank and petty cash accounts monthly, promptly flagging any discrepancies. Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy financial files for audit readiness. Budgeting, Reporting & Compliance Support preparation of monthly financial reports for management and HQ Finance. Track project and grant expenditures and alert management of variances or potential issues. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and donor financial reports. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and smooth financial operations of the CorpsAfrica/Uganda office.
